Fireplace

The fireplace was supposed to be a quick and easy project ... so we thought. 

 At first we thought we could just tile over it but found out the big pieces of tile we got would not lay down completely flat so Geppetto had to completely destroy the fireplace so he could rebuild it. 

 It was hard and long.  

The tile we picked is beautiful but didn't realize how expensive it was till we went to pay for it.  We only needed 4 pieces but let me tell you it was not cheap. 

 Despite the price and the hard work I am very pleased how this turned out.  I feel like the bigger tile makes the fireplace look taller than before, and I love the dark slate tile for the button it helps accentuate the fireplace.
